Plate Project stacked platesThe Plate Project is the heart of Clementine Porcelain.

The format is simple:

Tracy Shell & Jesse Ross cast, and bisque fire, functional porcelain plates then give them to children to paint or draw on. After a second firing, the finished pieces are sold through Clementine Porcelain's online store or at exhibitions. 100% of the net profit generated from the sale of the plates is donated to The Backpack Program administered by Food Bank of the Heartland.

The idea is to create a context in which kids can make a real contribution to alleviating childhood hunger in their very own community.

By combining education, outreach, direct community involvement, and fundraising, The Plate Project represents the purest expression of Clementine Porcelain's mission.
